Eat, party, play – What’s hot in Ibiza summer 2019?

Every summer, Ibiza experiences a creative surge pumping the island with a multitude of new ventures, projects and opportunities for fun. A convergence of sun, sea and cool means there is always something happening. Here are a few things we’re looking forward to in 2019.

Bambú Ibiza and Queriendo-te

For those who crave the taste of Southeast Asia, pop into this new Vietnamese eatery in Ibiza town. The pho is second to none and the Vietnamese spring rolls are the perfect starter for a hot summer’s evening. Authentic, delicious and really off the beaten tourist track, Bambú Ibiza is set to become a local favourite. Follow up your dinner with a short stroll around the corner to the eclectic tea salon Queriendo-te where you can choose from hundreds of teas and infusions plus indulge in a slice of homemade cake.

All Day I Dream

DJ, promoter and dreamer Lee Burridge is bringing his visionary event All Day I Dream to Cova Santa once a month from May until September. Known for creating sonic fairytales, Burridge and his hand-picked crew of guest artists transform this forested location into an ethereal playland for grown-up dreamers.

Los Enamorados x Cinema Paradiso

Who doesn’t love a good collab? Back for its second year, these two Ibiza institutions join forces to deliver the ultimate outdoor movie experience. Quirky and chic boutique hotel Los Enamorados hosts Cinema Paradiso’s giant outdoor screens for monthly events throughout the summer. Book a table for dinner then sidle your way to your comfy bean bag chair with a complimentary bag of popcorn and a drink to enjoy the best of Hollywood under the stars.

W Hotel Santa Eulalia

We’ve been enjoying the excellent food at the new W Hotel’s beachside restaurant, Chiringuito Blue, since last summer but this season sees the 162-room hotel opens its doors. Glowing with that world-class W style this mecca of sophisticated fun contains three eateries including a soon-to-be buzzing rooftop bar.

Petunia Ibiza

The much-anticipated re-launch of this boutique hotel brings a piece of retro chic to Ibiza’s west coast. Located in the curve of the gorgeous Cala Carbó, Petunia Ibiza boasts some of the most stunning views of the Med and Es Vedra. Sunset cocktails on the terrace bar are a must do.

Keto Kitchen

Hitting the zeitgeist on the head, Keto Kitchen recently opened its doors in Santa Gertrudis. A sublimely stylish ambience is complemented with a Keto-inspired menu. Don’t worry if that means nothing to you – just count on well-made sugar-free, low-carb fare that doesn’t skimp on flavour.

Tracey Emin at Art Projects Ibiza

The venerable star of the British art scene takes over the gallery space at Ibiza Art Projects this summer from June with a show of new works. Emin has made a departure from her usual medium and embraced painting, bringing a new dimension to her oeuvre. Expect her usual thought-provoking style and take advantage to experience her singular talent up close.

Hanamer Concept Store

Israeli designer and purveyor of fine things, Shiran Dascal has moved her headquarters from the old Lamuella restaurant to this cute boutique in Ibiza town. Along with her own label of clothing, she stocks bags, jewellery, homewares and accessories sourced from across the globe. The vibe is cross-cultural boho chic.
